Getting to Know You Activity

Our Getting to Know You Activity 
My group (4) created a Get to Know You Activity where we placed questions on a flower petals and had the Students pick thier peddles, in the peddles were the questions. Some of the questions were "What is your favorite subject?" "What do you like about Science?" "What don't you like about Science?" "Do you have any pets?" and other questions that seemed to spark the students interest was "What's your favorite superhero?" The students mostly said either Iron Man or Captain America. Here's a picture of our Getting to Know You Activity just in case anyone wants to try it with thier students. It's a very easy activity to make and your students will LOVE it, especially the girls! 

 P.s. If anyone does do this activity it's better if you use sticky tack to stick the peddles on the middle. So if your students want to pick the peddles, they can with no mess AND you can reapply the peddles for the next group!

Group 2: Vegetative Organs and Plant Tissue Day 2!

Vegetative Organs and Plant Tissue Part 2!!   Day two of this lesson was focused on indirect instruction, meaning the students were more engaged in this lesson. This day was the chance for the students to ask any questions they have, put use to what they learned in day one and gets hands on. From the very beginning, the lesson was engaging. It started off by the students answering questions on what was taught last class. Then a video was shown and an activity on the iPad was presented. Although they ran into the problem of the iPads being dead, they proceeded with confidence and a plan. This is the down side of working with technology, you have to expect the unexpected and always have a backup plan. As a teacher, you should always have a few ideas in mind when it comes to teaching any lesson. One thing the teachers of group 2 did was incorporate a funny/fun, but on task, aspect to the lesson.
