Group 1: Botany Full Week

Image
Group 1 During fieldwork this week (September 17th-20th) Group 1 taught a 5th grade class at Bishop Dunn in Newburgh, NY about Botany and how important it was for science. Group one also taught the class what pant cells are and the organelles that make them up. The organelles of a plant cell --> Each teacher taught the class three parts of a plant cell (Ex: the nucleus, mitochondria, extc.). Each teacher had a PowerPoint on each part of a cell using a basic definition to describe the cell part. -> They used the school to describe the parts of the cells. For example, one teacher said that the cell wall was like a school, provides everyone with protection and everything falls apart without the protections of the cell wall. If the cell wall wasn't there the structure would fall, just like the school walls without the walls there would be no school. -> This tactic seems to be very effective, as the students would some

FlipGrid Activity! Are you looking for a fun way to learn about your class?.... Are you looking for an integrative and technological way for your class to learn fun stuff about you?.... Look no more! Doing a Flipgrid is a fun way to do Both! Doing a Flipgrid is a great way for students to learn fun facts about you, and also an interactive and technological way of learning fun facts and new information about your students! During my college class today, the whole class went to the board and presented their Flipgrids, and wow was the feed-back great! Learning new information about people you would have never guess (for example: one girl went to Greece this summer! How fun is that?)At the end of the Fligrid each college student asked their class a question. Some questions asked what their favorite superhero was, what power they would have if they could, or what place they would like to go to. CHECK OUT MINE :) -> https://flipgrid.com/4b6313

Exon and the major oil companies climate change is a major threat to their business and they are trying to take out the issue. Companies tried to contract the issue of Climate change. A "meda study"- all the studies of a climate change. Scientist got together and found out there is so real decent of a climate change (the scientist uniformly (convergent) agreed)  Climate is a reality and we need to address this and as science teachers we need to address this, teach or students to distort information that is disoriented from politics and learn science. It's a science issue! Kyoto Protocol- first major project that acted on Climate change, United States prevented it with the election of George W. Bush and blocked the operation from coming underwa
